A Safe Haven for the Forgotten

Huron County Community Cats is a grassroots rescue effort dedicated to protecting, feeding, and caring for the stray, abandoned, and feral cats of Huron County, Ontario. What started with one scared cat in need has grown into a community of more than 20 cats who rely on us daily for food, shelter, and safety.

We believe that every cat, no matter how rough their start, deserves warmth, compassion, and a second chance.

What We Do

• Daily Support: We maintain feeding stations and makeshift shelters to help colony cats survive harsh rural winters.
• Socialize and Re-home: Some cats, like Tegan, learn to love and get the chance to live safely indoors.
• Advocate and Educate: We raise awareness about the challenges Huron County community cats face and what we can all do to help.

A Critical Moment

Our main colony currently lives behind a local business using a trailer as a base for feeding and protection. Sadly, access to this trailer and property will not always be available and we need our own permanent location to start doing the real work like TNR and establishing a cat sanctuary (the ultimate dream)!
